Mornings at Le Grand Sommet begin quietly. The first light moves slowly across the peaks above Magadino, and from your private terrace you can watch the valley wake while the mist lifts from the lake. There is no rush to be anywhere. Coffee can be taken outside, wrapped in a blanket, with nothing but the view and each other for company. In the evening the terrace turns gold, then blue, then dark, and the stars come out over the mountains. Dinner is a shared table with a view, and afterwards the sky is often clear enough for a stargazing tour, guided by someone who knows where to look.
